Frequently Asked Questions
All The Answers For Those Burning Questions
How long does it take to match a family with a nanny?
Each case is unique, and the availability and interest of nannies/sitters will depend on the specific hours and type of care you need. Our role is to manage the search process and find you a great match, but we cannot guarantee immediate availability. On average, the search and match process takes 3-5 weeks, though it could take longer. To ensure you find the right fit, we recommend starting your search 6-8 weeks before you need childcare.
This service is not ideal for families needing immediate childcare, as we do not maintain a pool of candidates ready to start. However, we can assist with rush searches for childcare needed within a few weeks from the start of the search, on a case-by-case basis. A rush fee will apply for expedited services. Please review the details on our pricing page. Please note that not every rush search will result in a placement.
How much is your fee?
Thanks for asking! We're happy to share. Check out the 'Pricing' page for full details.
Our goal will always be to remain as affordable as possible, and our price point/payment structure allows us to work with families who are serious and committed to hiring great childcare. Please keep in mind that most Nanny Placement Services/Agencies charge upwards of $2,000 for similar searches.
What are the going rates for childcare?
Childcare rates can vary based on your location. It's crucial to have a clear expectation of typical childcare costs when hiring. Nanny Search LLC prioritizes working with families willing to pay market rates, ensuring a better chance of finding qualified candidates. As a former nanny myself, fair compensation for childcare providers is a priority. Thank you for your understanding!

What if you can't find us a nanny?
If we are unable to find a suitable match for your family by your desired start date and you choose to discontinue our search, you will have only paid your non-refundable deposit and owe us nothing further.
However, please note that we do not stop the search process unless instructed to do so by your family. We strive to provide up to five candidates per search and continue sourcing until we reach this maximum or until you inform us that our services are no longer needed. We ask families to keep us informed throughout the process, especially if there are any changes in details or circumstances.
What if our nanny quits?
Great question! Although this is a tough position to be in, sometimes life gets in the way. It can happen to anyone and it's best to be realistic. So, here's what we do...

If your nanny/sitter quits unexpectedly between 45-90 days, we can redo your search for an additional finder's fee of $100.
If it's been more than 90 days and your nanny quits unexpectedly, we're happy to work with you again and help with another search but would need to process another non-refundable deposit and finder's fee. Due to the amount of time that has passed, we would essentially be starting over from square one.
